Lasell Celebrates Connected Learning with Symposium

Lasell's Fall Connected Learning Symposium launches this week with a variety of presentations illustrating the connection between classroom work and the real world. Among the week's events will be a poster session, performances, a mock trial as well as art and fashion displays.

"The Lasell Connected Learning Symposium is the College's celebration of students' creative and intellectual accomplishments," said Jim Ostrow, Vice President of Academic Affairs.

A featured event is the Symposium Showcase Tuesday, December 9th  - which includes a concentrated day of poster and presentation sessions.

Topics included in the presentations are Media Ethics, A Comparative Study of the Impact of Terrorism, two orthopedic clinics conducted by students, Entrepreneurship in Action - A Field Trip to Detroit, Domestic Violence Training created by Lasell students, Vietnam Today and many others.

In addition, graphic design students will showcase their senior design portfolios, students will present for the prosecution and defense at a mock trial, and honors students will show their capstone projects.

Additional exhibits and performances are also scheduled throughout the week, including the student musical concert in Yamawaki Auditorium at 7pm on also on December 9.
