Lasell’s Steve Bloom Discusses “Long Day’s Journey into Night” at New Rep Theater

May 2, 2012

By day, Steve Bloom is Lasell's Associate VP for Academic Affairs and Dean of Undergraduate Education, but by night, he's one of the area's preeminent Eugene O'Neill scholars.

In April, Bloom discussed one of O'Neill's most famous works, Long Day's Journey into Night, as a panelist at the New Rep Theater in Watertown on April 15, at 7 pm. Performances of the play ran through April 21.

The panel discussion, which also included Ilana Brownstein of Boston University, playwright and Boston University professor Lydia Diamond, and Jim Petosa, Artistic Director for the New Rep Theater, was free and open to the public.

The New Rep Theater offered discounted tickets to Lasell students, faculty and staff for the performances.

President Alexander Responds to the Tragedy in Orlando  Thursday, June 16, 2016We the people of the United States cherish our freedoms. Whether it be the freedom to say what we want, to assemble in groups of our choosing, to follow the religions of our choice, to vote as our conscience demands, to own and carry weapons, to start new businesses and make money, and to move about as we please -- these are values we hold dear and are reluctant to compromise.
