Healthy Aging Advocate to Speak at Lasell Village

Maria Valenti, author and healthy aging advocate, will discuss the effect of multiple interacting environments on health at Lasell Village on September 19.
The program, which is part of a Talk of Ages speaker series hosted by Lasell College's RoseMary B. Fuss Center for Research on Aging and Intergenerational Studies, begins at 7:30 pm in the Ballroom at the Village on the Lasell campus.
Valenti coordinates the Collaborative on Health and the Environment's Healthy Aging and the Environment Initiative. She has helped develop and lead national environmental health programs for almost two decades at greater Boston Physicians for Social Responsibility, including the Pediatric Environmental Health Toolkit endorsed by the American Academy of Pediatrics.
She has also co-authored several major environmental health publications including Generations at Risk: Reproductive Health and the Environment, In Harm's Way: Toxic Threats to Child Development, and Environmental Threats to Healthy Aging with a Closer Look at Alzheimer's & Parkinson's Disease.
