Domestic Violence Awareness Month Event Hosted by Newton Mayor

Lasell College will host a kick off event for Domestic Violence Awareness Month on Tuesday, October 23rd featuring Newton Mayor Setti Warren. The event takes place at 12:30pm in the auditorium of Lasell's Yamawaki Art and Culture Center.

Lasell's Justice Studies Department and the Domestic Violence Club combined forces to sponsor the event highlighting October as Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Newton Mayor Setti Warren will be a featured speaker at the event. Lasell College President Michael B. Alexander will introduce him. In addition, the event will include a speaker on teen dating violence and members of the domestic violence service provider community will be present.

State Board of Higher Education Approves New Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice  Wednesday, December 17, 2014The Massachusetts Board of Higher Education has approved a new Master’s degree in Criminal Justice at Lasell that will offer students multiple concentrations in Emergency Management, Homeland Security, Violence Prevention and Advocacy as well as a flexible Criminal Justice option. The online program launches in Fall 2015.
