Domestic Violence Advocacy Class Organizes Take Back the Night

November 30, 2016

Across the country, communities will hold Take Back the Night events to raise awareness about domestic abuse and violence this year. On Lasell's campus, students from Professor Karin Raye's Domestic Violence Advocacy class have arranged their event as a culminating activity for the Fall semester .

The class's Take Back the Night event will be held November 30 at de Witt Hall starting at 6 pm and is open to the entire Lasell community.

The students from the class organized the event, including the speakers - all Lasell students who will share their personal stories about abuse. In addition, the Spartones, the College's a cappella group, will perform and the audience will have the opportunity to participate in an open mic format.

The event will also showcase projects planned by the class earlier in the semester including the Clothesline Project held in October, sculptures and a slideshow.

Refreshments will be served following the event.
