Connected Learning Symposium Kicks Off

December 07, 2015

A week of student projects, performances and presentations celebrating the Fall semester's best work begins with an all-day showcase on Tuesday, December 8 and runs through Friday, December 11.

"Symposium gathers the College community to honor and share the collaborative accomplishments of students and faculty," Lasell Vice President for Academic Affairs James Ostrow says, "helping to further establish our commitment to teaching and learning beyond the walls of the classroom."

On Tuesday, December 8, the full day schedule begins with a rotating electronic poster display of research projects ranging from "Investigating Women's Equality in Sports" to "Understanding Mass Media." Simultaneously, some students will participate in a mock trial while others diagnose real patient injuries in an Athletic Training assessment clinic.

Among the projects presented at the Connected Learning Symposium are:
• Cell Phone Addiction? Students Offer Advice
• Who Thinks What About Racial Controversies? Research Findings
• Scenes From Contemporary Playwrights
• Finding Our Inner Activist Through Service
• A Concert in the Yamawaki Art and Cultural Center Auditorium
• A "Breaking Bad: Art & TV" Display in Winslow
