A Community Conversation about the events and aftermath of the fatal shooting of unarmed black teenager Michael Brown in Ferguson, MO is scheduled for the evening of September 11 in Wolfe 302. The event is co-sponsored by the Multicultural Student Union, Student Government Association and the College's Diversity and Inclusion Committee.

The event, titled "Ferguson: What We Can Learn," is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. in Wolfe 302 and will provide campus community members a chance to talk about the shooting and the aftermath. Teenager Michael Brown was stopped by Ferguson Police and fatally shot in the evening hours of August 9th.

The shooting, which raised questions about police profiling and police brutality, touched off several days of sometimes violent protest in the community.

Since the shooting the U.S. Justice Department's Civil Rights Division has been investigating the incident.
