Director of Health Services/Nurse Practitioner

Working within a student development framework, the professionals in the Student Affairs division at Lasell College strive to create an environment wherein students' learning is supported and their individual growth is enhanced.  Lasell College is searching for a talented individual to join the College community in the position of Director of Health Services/Nurse Practitioner

Responsibilities:  Reporting to the Vice President of Student Affairs, the Director of Health Services/Nurse Practitioner is responsible for the overall design and coordination of a comprehensive student health program that provides consistent, quality, primary care to the undergraduate students of Lasell College, and has a strong focus on educating students about how they can develop habits that will enhance their long-term quality of life.  Specific responsibilities include:   provision of competent, confidential, and respectful direct patient care; working with colleagues across campus to organize and deliver a comprehensive health education co-curriculum; and all tasks consistent with position as the manager of the Health Services functional unit (including hiring and supervision of staff; management of clinical protocols and recordkeeping; development and oversight of annual budget; participation in the divisional leadership team).

Qualifications:   an appropriate master's degree, with Massachusetts licensure for Advanced Practice Nurse in Family and/or Adult Health (or BSN/RN licensure, with grandfathered certification in an advanced practice specialty).  Candidates must also have current Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) certification and current Massachusetts Department of Public Health Controlled Substances licensure.   Preferred candidates will have a minimum of three to five years of pertinent, direct service health care experience, ideally in the college/university setting.  Candidates must have experience supervising professional staff, have excellent oral and written communication skills, demonstrate an ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple assignments concurrently, and demonstrate comfort working with diverse populations.
