Assistant Athletic Trainer

Lasell College, a NCAA Division III institution located in Newton, MA is seeking applications for an Assistant Athletic Trainer to assist with the comprehensive athletic training and strength and conditioning services for Lasell College intercollegiate athletes. This is a full-time ten month position with full benefits, housed in the Department of Athletics and reporting to the Head Athletic Trainer.

The Athletic Trainer will: assist in providing comprehensive athletic training services for seventeen NCAA Division III varsity sports; assist with day-to-day operations of the athletic training room; coordinate strength and conditioning programs to varsity athletes, as directed; assist with Fitness Center administration; and serve as an approved clinical preceptor for the College’s Athletic Training education program.

Minimum qualifications include: Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training, or a related field, from a CAAHEP/CAATE accredited athletic training program; certification in good standing through the BOC for at least two years; licensure to practice Athletic Training in the State of MA (or eligible); current CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer, and First Aid certifications.

Preferred qualifications include: Master’s degree in Athletic Training or a related field; a minimum of 3 years of experience in college athletics; certification by the National Association of Sports Medicine (NASM) as a Certified Personal Trainer (CPT); or certification by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS); and instructor certification in CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer and First Aid.

Lasell Introduces Cross-Registration Program with Regis College, Expanding on Courses Offered  Monday, March 30, 2015Lasell College will begin a cross-registration program with Regis College this Fall, enabling undergraduate students to enroll in additional courses there at no additional cost. Lasell students will be able to add selected Regis courses to their Lasell schedule starting with pre-registration this April.
