The position will be available on July 1 2014; however, start date is negotiable.

Lasell College, founded in 1851, is a private, coeducational institution of higher education, located in the village of Auburndale, MA.  The College has approximately 1700 full-time undergraduate students, and a small graduate student population.  There are 27 residential buildings on campus, many of which are converted Victorian homes.  Approximately 80% of the undergraduate population resides in campus housing.

Responsibilities:  The Area Coordinator works with all of the professional Residential Life staff (seven in total) to create a residential experience at Lasell College that is supportive of the College's academic mission, and contributes to the healthy development of the students in residence.  Serving as key educators in the Lasell community, the Area Coordinator's general responsibilities include: training and supervision of an undergraduate Resident Assistant staff; educational programming; building a community atmosphere through meaningful interactions with the students in residence; serving as an administrative hearing officer in the College's conduct system; weekend and week-night on-call duty; and assuming the lead responsibility for a functional area in Residential Life as determined.   The Area Coordinator will oversee a residential area of the campus comprised of multiple residential buildings.

Qualifications:  A BA/BS degree is required; master's degree in a related discipline, and pertinent residential experience preferred.  Review of resumes will begin immediately.
