Applications Support Analyst

Lasell College is seeking applications for the position of Applications Support Analyst.

The Applications Support Analyst reports to the Director of Technology and is responsible for the overall administration, support and maintenance of the various enterprise applications supported by Lasell IT including, but not necessarily limited to, PowerCAMPUS, Cashnet, FRX, GreatPlains, University Tickets, Medicat, and other software systems listed on the Approved Enterprise Systems document. The Applications Support Analyst is to provide assurance that each of the applications is maintained according to established standards. The Analyst is responsible for end user support including training and responding to questions and inquiries. The Analyst is hands on and requires strong knowledge of the various applications. 

The Applications Support Analyst is also responsible for doing basic ad-hock queries, data cleansing and SQL reporting for the college's Enterprise Systems. The Analyst is a member of the Enterprise Systems team and upholds the guidelines documented in the ES Procedures for Submitting & Responding to Requests.

 JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop and modify small SQL reports as well as ad-hock queries for the college's SQL databases

Responsible for overall system administration for systems such as Cashnet, Medicat, EMS, Blackboard Transact, Localist and various other systems listed in the Approved Systems document

Serve as the technical point-of-contact for assigned applications and ensure data integrity and testing of system changes, documentation, supporting report writing and analysis of data flows for process improvement opportunities and by partnering with end users to accomplish strategic and tactical objectives.

 Train and respond on reporting tool and questions related to reports

Administer user security for assigned systems (account creation and modifying permissions)

Work with software vendor to implement enhancements and upgrades of software products, including acting as a liaison and coordinator of the software changes between end-users and software vendor.

Open help-desk tickets with appropriate software vendors and work through to closure of ticket/issue
Other duties as assigned

 MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED BY THE JOB:

 Education level:

·         Bachelor's degree minimum. Masters in Computer Science, Information Systems or MBA a plus

·         2+ years related experience

   Computer skills:

·         SQL Experience at least 1 year (SQL 2005 or later)

·         Microsoft Office (Word/Excel) Intermediate

·         Demonstrated experiences with report writing (SQL reporting services a plus)

·         Testing and Validation
