Fitness Center Monitor Part-Time Summer Help

Area Coordinator
Working within a student development framework, the professionals in the Office of Student Affairs at Lasell College strive to create an environment wherein students’ learning is supported and their individual growth is enhanced. Lasell College currently has an opening for a talented student development professional to join the Student Affairs department as an Area Coordinator, working in the Office of Residential Life. Anticipated start date is August 1, 2013.
Lasell College, founded in 1851, is a private, coeducational institution of higher education, located in the village of Auburndale, MA. The College has approximately 1600 full-time undergraduate students, and a growing, part-time, non-residential graduate student population. There are 27 residential buildings on campus, many of which are converted Victorian homes. Approximately 80% of the undergraduate population resides in campus housing.
The Area Coordinator position, a twelve-month position including a partially furnished apartment and a board plan (available during the academic year), reports to the Director of Residential Life.
Responsibilities: The Area Coordinator works with all of the professional Residential Life staff (seven in total) to create a residential experience at Lasell College that is supportive of the College’s academic mission, and contributes to the healthy development of the students in residence. Serving as key educators in the Lasell community, the Area Coordinator’s general responsibilities include: training and supervision of an undergraduate Resident Assistant staff; educational programming; building a community atmosphere through meaningful interactions with the students in residence; serving as an administrative hearing officer in the College’s conduct system; weekend and week-night on-call duty; and assuming the lead responsibility for a functional area in Residential Life as determined. The Area Coordinator will oversee a residential area of the campus comprised of multiple residential buildings.

Assistant Field Hockey Coach-Athletic Department

Qualifications:

Reference Librarian/Archivist
Job Summary
Provide Reference assistance to members of the Lasell College community. Manage the Winslow Archives including acquisition, processing and control of the use of materials. Responsible for collection development in assigned subject areas. Participate in Information Literacy instruction.This is an academic year position; 39 weeks, (September – May).
Duties/Responsibilities
- Work assigned hours on the Reference Desk including one night a week, and Sunday and Monday holiday rotation.
- Assist the Head of Reference and Instruction with Information Literacy classes.
- Perform collection development duties in assigned subject areas.
- Manage acquisition of materials in the Winslow Archives, including acknowledging gifts and donations of items to the collection.

Benefits/Human Resources Coordinator
Lasell College is seeking a Benefits/Human Resources Coordinator to provide administrative and professional services in all aspects of human resources.
Core Responsibilities:
Will serve as the initial contact for the Human Resources Department, assisting employees, applicants, staff, faculty, students and the public. Director Academic Achievement Center
Position Description: The Director of the Academic Achievement Center provides leadership and oversight of academic support services for undergraduate and graduate students and implements best practices in this area that enhance student success and retention. Current services include, but are not limited to, academic support in writing, mathematics, presentation, and research skills, accommodations for students with disabilities, study strategies, and English language learning strategies. The director is responsible for hiring, scheduling, training and supervising, and evaluating professional and student tutors, and collaborates with faculty and staff to integrate learning supports such as the Universal Design for Learning (UDL) framework, appropriate learning tools and services embedded in the classroom and/or at the Academic Achievement Center. The director also provides direct services to students in individualized and small group learning activities and monitors academic progress, as needed.Core Responsibilities:
- Work in partnership with faculty, advisors, and other staff to facilitate the academic success of all students in multiple modalities, including in person and online tutoring, study groups, and embedded classroom and supplemental support.

Undergraduate Academic Advisor
Position Description: The Undergraduate Academic Advisor reports to and assists the Dean of Advising and First Year Programs with the development and implementation of various programs and services provided through the Academic Advising Center. This individual manages a caseload of new and continuing advisees. The advisor also works closely with Academic, Enrollment Management, Student Affairs staff and faculty, and peer leaders to support students' transition to higher education and attainment of educational, career and life goals.
Core Duties:
