Assistant Professor of Marketing

The Department of Management/Marketing at Lasell College in Newton, MA seeks an Assistant Professor of Marketing for a Fall 2016 appointment. More senior rank will be considered based on experience and other credentials. 

Responsibilities: Teaching responsibilities could include undergraduate and graduate courses in a range of areas including Marketing, Consumer Behavior, Marketing Strategy, Social Marketing, Retail Merchandising and other Marketing core courses depending upon the candidate’s area of specialization. An ability and interest in utilizing an active, project-focused approach to teaching is critical. Faculty in all disciplines at Lasell may have the opportunity to teach in our Honors Program as well as the Core Curriculum, which could include teaching First Year Seminar, a Knowledge Perspective course in one of four areas, a sophomore multidisciplinary course, or a section of the junior Ethics Experience. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent, enthusiastic teaching and student advocacy; ability to work cooperatively and productively with faculty, staff and students; commitment to productivity and professional development; and active participation in department and college service. Other responsibilities include advising undergraduate students, being involved with student organizations, serving on committees, participating in curriculum development, working with learning outcomes assessment, participation in program marketing and promotion, and networking with community and professional contacts. The successful candidate will have the ability to shape the on-going development of this program in response to new potential markets and improvements in program curriculum.

Qualifications:  An earned doctoral degree in Marketing or related area is preferred; ABD or a Master’s degree in Marketing with significant Marketing Management experience will be considered. Prior college teaching experience preferred.

Lasell College to go Test Optional for Fall 2017 Admission  Tuesday, August 2, 2016After careful deliberation, Lasell College has announced it will go "test-optional" beginning with applications for admission to the 2017 Fall semester. The College will no longer require prospective students to submit SAT or ACT scores.
