Assistant Professor of Athletic Training
The Athletic Training and Exercise Science Department at Lasell College seeks an Assistant Professor of Athletic Training in its CAATE Accredited Athletic Training Program for Fall 2014. Candidate must display expertise in the sport management field, exhibit excellence in teaching, and embrace the connected learning philosophy. Professional experience working in the sports industry is a plus. More senior rank will be considered based on experience and other credentials.
Responsibilities: The successful candidate will demonstrate excellence and enthusiasm in teaching and student advocacy; the ability to work cooperatively and productively with faculty, staff and students; commitment to productivity and professional development; and active participation in department and college service including but not limited to faculty standing committees and advising of undergraduate students. The candidate must have teaching expertise in several of the following areas: Orthopedic Assessment and Diagnosis, Therapeutic Modalities and Rehabilitation, Special Populations, Psychosocial interventions and Pharmacology. The teaching of additional courses will be based on interest and expertise and may include nutrition, research methods, Kinesiology, and the supervision of capstone projects.
Qualifications: A doctorate in athletic training or related field. ABD will also be considered. Faculty at Lasell are employed on renewable single and multi-year contracts. Minority candidates are encouraged to apply.
