Assistant Professor and Program Director of Exercise Science
The Department of Athletic Training/Exercise Science seeks an Assistant Professor and Program Director of Exercise Science for a Fall 2014 appointment. More senior rank will be considered based on experience and other credentials.
Responsibilities: The candidate must have teaching expertise in several of the following areas: exercise physiology, exercise physiology and special populations, and exercise testing and prescription. The teaching of additional courses will be based on interest and expertise and may include nutrition, research methods, community health, and capstone project supervision. The Program Director engages in administrative duties associated with the requirements outlined by CAAHEP and CoAES to maintain accreditation status. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellence and enthusiasm in teaching and student advocacy; the ability to work cooperatively and productively with faculty, staff and students; commitment to productivity and professional development; and active participation in department and college service including but not limited to faculty standing committees and advising of undergraduate students.
Qualifications: A doctorate in exercise sciences or related field. ABD will also be considered. Faculty at Lasell are employed on renewable single and multi-year contracts. Minority candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.
