Director of Internship Programs

Lasell College seeks a dynamic, collaborative staff member to support and expand internship experiences in all undergraduate programs. This is a 12-month staff appointment reporting to the Dean of Curricular and Faculty Innovation and working closely with the Director of Career Services.

In collaboration with the academic leadership and the Office of Career Services, the Director defines and maintains College-wide expectations for internship experiences; identifies needs of each academic program; supports resume development, interview skills, and job search processes; collects data related to placement sites, participation, and success; and develops reports for stakeholders as directed.

Externally, the Director serves as a representative of the College with business and non-profit organizations to identify potential partnerships and develop placement opportunities that meet student and employer needs; coordinates communication before and during internship experiences to ensure successful outcomes; and coordinates assessment of experiences.

In addition, the Director teaches two courses (or the equivalent) per year, including internship seminars and field supervision, and may be expected to carry out additional related responsibilities as needed.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of an earned master's degree; experience with coordinating internship programs, experiential education, or similar programs in higher education; demonstrated ability to interact successfully with external and internal stakeholders; proficiency with gathering, organizing, and reporting quantitative and qualitative data.

Faculty experience is desirable.
