Admission Data and Reporting Specialist

Lasell College located in Newton, Massachusetts invites applications for the position of Admission Data and Reporting Specialist. Lasell College is a private, coeducational institution offering undergraduate and graduate programs of study. Founded in 1851, Lasell is one of the oldest colleges in greater Boston. The Office of Undergraduate Admission is seeking a highly motivated professional who is energetic, creative, enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, and will support the college's rich history and vision.

The Admission Data and Reporting Specialist is responsible for the processing, management, data integrity, analysis and reporting of admission data. The Admission Data and Reporting Specialist creates, edits and maintains admission queries and reports; and identifies opportunities and trends. The Admission Data and Reporting Specialist works with multiple-constituents, college departments, and business partners such as mail houses and data collection agencies to manipulate, import and export data. In addition, to providing regular reports supporting the timely processing and flow of the Admission Office's communication campaigns, the Admission Data and Reporting Specialist must adhere to and maintain strict institutional data standards, and have the ability to grasp the big-picture of database management while paying careful attention to detail.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree and a minimum (3) years of experience working in admissions or higher education operations/data-base management.

The ideal candidate must also demonstrate:

• Knowledge of- and hands-on experience with technical systems and/or programming languages (examples: enterprise student information systems, customer relationship management systems, document imaging systems)
• Understanding of databases and data structures
• Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills
• Ability to be engaged in ongoing learning and adapt to a variety of technical systems
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work under deadline pressures
• Strong interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical users
• Experience with student information and/or recruitment systems is preferred.
• Strong organization, research, and problem solving abilities
• Flexibility, dedication, initiative, confidentiality, and the ability to learn

• Freshman Applicant Reports
• Monthly Inquiry Reports
• On-Campus Event Summary Reports
• Campus Visit Summary Reports
• Travel, Marketing, ROI Reports

Examples of expected data production include, but not limited to:
• Data for Incomplete Application Follow-up
• Data for Non-responders Campaigns
• Data for Financial Aid Application Follow-up
• Data for external Business Partners
• Data for Newsletters
• Miscellaneous Data Requests by Admission Team & other College Departments

Examples of data processing (Data Retrieval and Integration) into CRM include, but not limited to:
• Lead Responder and Non-Responder Data
• College Fair Data
• Testing Service Data (i.e. College Board and ACT Data)
• Common App Data
• Advertising Data Retrieval and Integration

Examples of data quality assurance and CRM manipulation include, but not limited to:
• Continuously review all reports and queries for data accuracy and data cleansing
• Leads to Contacts conversion
• TimeTrade Data Integration and Manipulation
• FrontRush Data Integration and Manipulation
• Duplicate record review
• CRM modification as directed

Reporting to the AVP for Enrollment Management/Dean of Undergraduate Admission & Financial Aid, the qualified candidate must demonstrate the ability to accurately track, research, report on, and analyze data. The successful candidate must also have a willingness to learn and relate effectively and efficiently with students, faculty, administration, and staff. The highest level of data integrity is expected and knowledge of the policies and procedures of the Office Admissions and the college required. Attention to detail, effective technical, written, and oral communication skills are a must.
