The School of Business at Lasell College in Newton, MA seeks an Assistant Professor of Global Business for a FALL 2018 appointment. More senior rank will be considered based on experience and professional credentials.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Teaching responsibilities could include undergraduate and graduate courses in a range of areas including global marketing, global leadership, cross-cultural management, legal environment of business, legal environment of business, operations strategy, E-Business, and other areas depending upon the candidate's area of specialization. The ability to build strong partnerships and think creatively is crucial as this is a growing program with strong support for continued growth and innovation. The ideal candidate will have industry contacts both in the Boston area and around the globe.
Successful candidates will demonstrate an avid interest in utilizing a project-focused approach to teaching. Our growing undergraduate and graduate programs are looking to enhance and diversify offerings. The successful candidate will have the ability to work both within and beyond the school to shape the ongoing development of undergraduate and graduate programs in response to new potential markets. We are specifically looking for faculty who appreciate the value diverse students bring to a campus community and are eager to help foster an inclusive campus environment. Faculty in all disciplines at Lasell may have the opportunity to teach in our Honors Program as well as the Core Curriculum, which could include teaching First Year Seminar, a Knowledge Perspective course in one of four areas, a sophomore multidisciplinary course, or a section of the junior Ethics Experience. QUALIFICATIONS:
An earned doctoral degree in International Business or related area is preferred; ABD or a MBA with significant International Business experience will be considered. Prior college teaching experience is preferred.
