Environmental Sustainability

At Lasell College, environmental sustainability means "going green" in every aspect - from our building maintenance, to our academic studies, to our involvement with the community. Lasell College is embarking on a course of action that will lead to an 80% reduction in carbon emissions by 2050. Lasell students, faculty and staff are dedicated to promoting a greener environment and future; learn how you can be a part of the Environmental Sustainability Committee.

Lasell was the recipient of the Green Business Award from the Newton-Needham Chamber of Commerce in 2009.

Faculty Profile

Janice A. Savitz, M.S.Assistant Professor of Exercise ScienceJanice Savitz's scholarly activities have focused on the scholarship of teaching and learning. Her teaching methods use competitive interactive events. Professor Savitz has been a member of the events staff at TD BankNorth Garden, Gillette Stadium, Boston College, Boston University and Harvard University.

Lasell College Wins NEA Grant to Create Online Fashion Design Catalog Thursday, May 2, 2013Lasell College President Michael B. Alexander announced today that the College is the recipient of a $20,000 2013 National Endowment for the Arts matching grant to assist in the creation of an online fashion design catalog. The Lasell grant proposal was one of 50 grants funded by the NEA in its Art Works Design category.
