Health Education

Health Education is an important part of Lasell College. The Health Education program specializes in health programs and resources for all Lasell College students. The purpose of the Health Education Program is to educate Lasell students about health topics through peer education, wellness programming, group discussions, and much more.

The Health Education department offers programs that encourage informed and positive decision making and lifelong learning for students. Health Education is also involved in assessing student attitudes and behavior as it pertains to personal health, as well as awareness and knowledge of preventive health strategies. The Health Education Program offers a variety of programs including interactive peer-led workshops, health and wellness awareness campaigns, discussion groups in residence halls and for student organizations, and counseling.

Health Education at Lasell College can help students with:

- prevention of sexual assault and relationship violence
- drug and alcohol awareness
- stress management
- safe sex
- healthy eating
- healthy relationships

Lasell College also has a Peer Health Education program through the Health Education department, created to raise awareness about issues related to health and well-being. Peer Health Education offers the opportunity to get involved in health promotion and be a leader in the Lasell community.

Presentations and workshops are available for athletic teams, residence halls, classes, and for clubs and organizations throughout the Lasell community.

Students can make an appointment to get information and assistance for a variety of health related issues. Appointments are confidential. However, the Health Education Department may refer out to appropriate services within Lasell College if needed, depending on the nature of the concern.
