PSYCHOLOGY/SOCIOLOGY/HUMAN SERVICES

These fields of study focus on human behavior. They seek to understand and explain normal and abnormal behavior, mental ability, development and differences among people. There are many subdivisions and specializations. In general psychology is concerned with individual mental functioning, sociology with the individual’s interactions with groups and institutions and human services with providing assistance to people in handling mental health and social service needs. The content and skills developed in these majors can be applied in social service agencies, educational settings, hospitals, rehabilitation centers, correctional institutions as well as market research, customer service, sales and management.

Lasell College Wins NEA Grant to Create Online Fashion Design Catalog  Thursday, May 2, 2013Lasell College President Michael B. Alexander announced today that the College is the recipient of a $20,000 2013 National Endowment for the Arts matching grant to assist in the creation of an online fashion design catalog. The Lasell grant proposal was one of 50 grants funded by the NEA in its Art Works Design category.
