Fashion Design and Production

This field of study focuses on the development of the style concept, selection of textiles to bring forth the concept and the production of the garment. Creative and artistic skills are fostered in studio classes, material knowledge is gathered in textile courses and extensive practice and instruction are provided in production. CAD/CAM computer technology is also introduced. Career options are found with designers, manufacturers, costume and wardrobe collections, retail stores and fashion media.

Lasell College Wins NEA Grant to Create Online Fashion Design Catalog  Thursday, May 2, 2013Lasell College President Michael B. Alexander announced today that the College is the recipient of a $20,000 2013 National Endowment for the Arts matching grant to assist in the creation of an online fashion design catalog. The Lasell grant proposal was one of 50 grants funded by the NEA in its Art Works Design category.
