| This field of study focuses on understanding and providing for health care needs associated with physical activity and sports. Emphasis is placed on development of the knowledge and techniques involved in injury prevention and recognition of emergencies as well as the treatment and rehabilitation of physical trauma. Extensive hands on experience is provided in clinical settings. Career opportunities are found in colleges or universities, school districts at the secondary level, professional sports organizations, hospitals and fitness facilities. |
