ACCOUNTING |
| The Accounting curriculum offers students a strong background in specialized accounting skills and exposure to a complete range of business functions. Students develop the financial knowledge and analytical skills necessary in understanding the various components of business organizations and the role of accounting within them. The Accounting major provides a flexible program of study relevant to all areas of accounting, with a strong emphasis on practical accounting work. Federal Taxation, a course highly recommended and taken by virtually all majors, includes a service-learning component. Elective courses and internship experience allow the student to concetrate on specific career intrerests and needs. The program provides a basic background for several professional examinations. Graduates receive a Bachelor os Scince degree in Accounting. |
