The Lasers’ are excited about the experience that Coach Bircher brings to the team.  Coach Bircher will be a major factor in winning the conference championship

2007 Season Wrap-up
New head coach Vito LaFrancesca was named GNAC coach of the year after leading the 2007 team to an 11-7 record which is a significant improvement from winning just four games in 2006.  The women scored 42 goals this year compared to just 15 in 2006.  The Lasers also made an appearance in the Great Northeast Atlantic Conference quarterfinals, losing by a goal to Norwich University in a hard fought match.

The future looks bright for the Lasers as they will return their top three scorers.  Freshman Allyson Bushey (Westminster, MA) netted a team high eight goals, followed by sophomore Ashley Lambert (Salem, MA) who scored six goals and added four assists.  Rookie Jess Wainwright (Marlborough, MA) also had a solid first year, netting five goals along with three assists.

Five seniors will graduate this season including midfielders Ann Pasterczyk (Chicopee, MA) who scored four goals and three assists this fall, Anna Torvi (N. Smithfield, RI) who scored three goals and Laurel Saia (Holyoke, MA) who scored a goal this season as well.  Forward Nicole Ruggiero (Plattekill, NY) will also be graduating after a two goal and one assist season as will defender Christina DeLuca (Johnston, RI) who also scored once this year along with one assist.
