2008 Season Wrap-up
The Lasers finished their season with a 19-20 record overall and a 17-10 GNAC record. They made an appearance in the GNAC tournament, but were unfortunately knocked out in the first round. However, the team is very young with seven freshman on their roster which should help them be even more successful next spring.

Perla was named to the GNAC All-Conference Second Team for her efforts. Rookie Kirsten Mammola (North Reading, MA) had a great first year, batting .378 and knocking in 16 runs. Junior co-captain Heather Rose (West Roxbury, MA) was also a major offensive contributor, batting .365 with two home runs and 21 RBI’s.
On the mound, rookie Alexandra Shackford (Center Conway, NH) had the lowest ERA at 2.54,m pitching 88 innings and striking out 50 batters. Sophomore Nicole Slader (North Smithfield, RI) had a 3.89 ERA, pitching 39 innings while junior Amanda Corey (Brooklyn, CT) pitched 94 innings this spring, striking out 83 and finishing with a 4.48 ERA.
