COACHING STAFF

Head Coach: Jessica King Coach King started the field hockey program at Lasell College in 1999. She was named North Atlantic Conference Co-Coach of the year in 2006. King comes to Lasell after serving as the assistant coach at Bentley College for two years. King played field hockey at Bentley College from 1993-1996 and was named a Division II All-American in 1995 and 1996 as well as Northeast-10 Player of the Year. Coach King also played softball for Bentley and was the Most Valuable Player in 1997. Jessica received her Masters of Science Degree in Management with a concentration Marketing from Lasell College in 2006 and her BA from Bentley in Marketing in 1997. She currently serves as the Sports Information Director and Assistant Director of Athletics at Lasell College.

Assistant Coach: Heidi Hanna Assistant coach Heidi Hanna is from Cape Elizabeth, ME and graduated from Lasell College in 2005 with a B.S. degree in Criminal Justice and Legal Studies. Hanna is currently the Lasell College all-time leader in points (92) and goals scored (35) and assists (22). She was the Newton North High School freshman team head coach in 2005 and currently works at John Hancock Insurance in Boston, MA.

Assistant Coach: Nicole Bryant Assistant coach Nicole Bryant is from Watertown, MA and graduated from Lasell College in 2007 with a B.S. in Sports Management. Bryant scored 48 goals and 13 assists in her career, missing one season due to a knee injury. She was named to the North Atlantic Conference second team in 2003, 2005 and 2006 and was the Lasell College field hockey rookie of the year in 2003.
2007 Season Review
The Lasers ended the 2007 season at 8-11 overall and they earned their second consecutive North Atlantic Conference semi-final appearance after defeating Simmons College 4-1 in the quarterfinal match. Among the highlights of the season were a dramatic road overtime win against Plymouth State College and an even more exciting penalty stroke win at home against UNE.
Sophomore forward Caitlyn Walker (Middlebury, CT) has a break out year, scoring 11 goals and four assists as did sophomore forward Megan DeAndrade (New Bedford, MA) who netted five goals. Walker was named to the All-NAC second team. Senior goalkeeper Laura Gallagher (Westwood, MA) had an outstanding season in the net, finishing with a 1.56 GAA, 106 saves and setting a new record for minutes played in a season (1,164) due to four overtime matches. Rookie forward Tia Pratt (South Paris, ME) made an immediate impact on the team, scoring four goals and five assists in her rookie season. For her efforts, Pratt was named NAC rookie of the year, she earned a spot on the NAC All-Tournament team and was named to the All-NAC Second Team.
The team will graduate five starting seniors including forward co-captain Katie Bryer who finished third in all-time scoring and goals scored with 75 career points and 24 career goals. Bryer was named to the All-NAC Honorable Mention team. Midfielder co-captain Rachael Johnson (Litchfield, CT) was named to the NAC All-Tournament Team as well as the All-NAC Second team and scored one goal and one assist this year.
