1936:

Ruth Upham Petremont celebrated her 100th birthday in May and shared memories of Lasell 80 years ago with her daughter, Nancy Bailey, and Lasell's Leadership Annual Giving Officer Rebecca Brenner.


1940s

1946:

Class Secretaries: Joan Hanson Blake, Anne Blake Perkins

Meri Zanleoni Goyette's granddaughter Angela Luna, a senior at Parsons School of Design in NYC, designed a collection of clothing to assist refugees, earning her "Designer of the Year" acclaim  along with a feature in The Boston Globe.


1950s

1950:

Class Secretary: Marguerite "Marni" Nahigian Sarkisian

Jacqueline "Jackie" Paulding Hauser keeps up with many Lasell friends, enjoys winters in Florida and creating floral designs for formal occasions.  Marguerite "Marni" Nahigian Sarkisian likes the country-style living in Weston, MA and its access to Boston.  She keeps active feeding birds and trying different cuisines.  Gloria Drulie Schluntz's husband retired, and they are enjoying time together and with daughter Erica and grandson.  Anne Carpenter Towle lives in a retirement home where she enjoys playing bridge.

1951:

Barbara Ferns Becker lives in Tennessee with her husband of 62 years and enjoys their lake home on weekends.  She belongs to two book groups, two lunch groups and still loves to cook.  Barbara and her husband have traveled to Australia, China, Japan and, her favorite, Italy, and have taken 11 river cruises.  She has wonderful memories of Lasell, especially "Miss Mac" and her late roommate Joanne Garrity, who died in 2011.  Margaret Pikaart Bilanin, a longtime Cape Cod resident, now lives in Burlington, VT near her daughter, a move precipitated by health problems (knee replacement surgery).  Margaret has three children, two in Vermont, the third in California, and a teenage granddaughter "gifted with writing and musical talent."  Isabel Turnbull Broadhead has lived in Florida home since 1968, and the Sunshine State is also home to her four children-three sons and a daughter who is a mother of twins.  Isabel and her husband of 65 years recently traveled to visit all four families.  She enjoys needlework and singing in her church choir. Joy Detweiler Hostetter has lived in Georgia for many years, after residing in Massachusetts, Michigan and Kansas.  A widow for 14 years, who enjoyed fishing with her husband, she remains active, meeting with friends and doing aerobic exercise.  Joy's sons live in Georgia, New Jersey, Tennessee and Kansas.  Though a Merchandising major at Lasell, she has had a lifelong love of science.  Elizabeth Baumbach Hyne likes traveling with her senior group and volunteering with her local Office of Aging.  "My mind is 58 years old," she tells Class Notes, "but my body reminds me that I am 85!"  Patricia Reynolds Landwehr, originally from Connecticut, has been a longtime resident of Huntsville, AL, where she lives with her daughter Lisa.  Pat traveled to Europe (favorite place: Spain) with her late husband (who died 10 years ago)  and now enjoys handwork, Bridge and participating in women's clubs.  She loved her time at Lasell and being close to Boston relatives. Jan Wolf Tarrant has lived in colonial Guilford, CT for 60 years.  She has two sons living in Massachusetts. A widow for seven years, she and her late huband traveled throughout the US (favorite place: Key West, FL).  After several years as class secretary, Elaine Quavillon Tull has resigned. "Talking with our classmates has been fun," she says, "and I do appreciate your help and cooperation!"  During her 64 years of marriage, Elaine and her husband have lived in Virginia, Connecticut, Arizona and now Texas.  Their family includes two children, five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.  The couple still travels and stays involved in community activities.

1953:

Class Secretary:  Shirley Gibbons San Soucie

Constance "Connie" Peterson Costigan, who celebrated her 83rd birthday in September, lives in a retirement home in Pompano Beach, FL.

1955:

Class Secretary: Bobbie Jennings

Joan Baker Cornell loves her new retirement community apartment.  She and Bobbie Jennings correspond often and are enjoying "the good life--no more cooking, cleaning, yard work or repairs!" The Class of 1955 sends heartfelt condolences to Helen Peters Guy upon the recent loss of her husband.  Many of Helen's classmates remember the day she was dubbed "Queen of Crane's Beach" and crowned with a bucket of sea water!  Lois Hopson and Nancy Goodman Cobin enjoyed their time at the Sarasota, FL home of Margo Waite '63, where Lois donated her Lasell blazer to President Michael B. Alexander for a permanent home in the College's Archives.  Judy Bowen Horky is enjoying her new home in Grass Valley, CA and is eager to return to writing after a long hiatus (her first book was Ageless! Never Too Old, Never Too Late.)  Class Secretary Jennings asks thse classmates to provide corrected e-mail addresses:  Carolyn Skolfield, Jane McInnis Bennett and Bette Petto Costantino.  Many classmates who have not given e-mail addresses to either Bobbie or Lasell's Office of Alumni Relations are asked to please do so!  Audrey Silver Rogers has been playing detective, trying to contact classmates whose addresses are incorrect or need updating.  Audrey is back in touch with Adrienne Vitali Stewart and Carol Ann Cunningham Kiley but has incorrect e-mail info for Ann Pierson Scott.  Anyone with information on classmates should contact Bobbie or Lasell's Alumni Relations Office.  Joan Murano Swanson has documented her growing-up years with a charming story, My 3 Brothers.

1956: 

Class Secretary: Margaret Schwingel Kraft

Sandra Davis Hudson and husband Bob celebrated their 60th anniversary in June, preceded by a March cruise with 27 family members.  The Hudsons have 14 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

1958: 

Class Secretary: Mary Ann Fuller Young

Donna Purrington Bossa lives in Fairfield, CT.  She has husband Bob's combined families number more than 40 members.  Golf, Bridge, piano and gardening keep Donna busy.  Gail Winalski Burd underwent a second back surgery in April.  In better news, she now has two of her three daughters near her in the  Naples, FL area.  Ann Reeves Burton and husband Bob are happy to have relocated to Raleigh, NC, close to their son and grandchildren, and encourage classmates to "come visit."  Laure Ferrante Cannon is enjoying her senior years in Tenafly, NJ, where she is on the Senior Service Committee.  Laure encourages friends to visit her website www.itsafichu.com for more history. Nancy Spargo Goodridge got her real estate license when she retired after 36 years with Gore-Tex Fabrics Co.  She winters in Hillsborough Beach, FL and summers in Bethan Beach, DL.  Jacquelyn "Jackie" Smith Johnson and  husband Stan keep busy with volunteer work, travel, reading, Jackie's knitting and visiting family in New England.  Marilyn Lanoue Johnson is "feeling good" after treatment and surgery for breast cancer in 2015.  Theodora "Terry" Brahe Lanham's husband Bob died after 51 years together.  Their children are in Connecticut, Ohio and Michigan.  Terry keeps busy with 12 grandchildren and is looking forward to the Class of 1958's 60th Reunion.  Jeanne Bradner Morgan married Gene Morgan in 1987 after their respective "different routes."  Jeanne became a Certified Financial Planner and a partner in a financial planning firm in 1982.  The couple's offspring are all "very successful," they report.  Janet McPherson Pretto is enjoying the whales in Half Moon Bay, CA.  Her son Bill recently married Lisa Erwin.  Beverly Dansky Singer spends half the year in Florida and half in Connecticut.  She recently connected with Lasell roommate Jane Gregson Molloney who also lives part-time in Florida.  Beverly is involved in orphanage and children's shelter volunteer work.  Class Secretary Mary Ann Fuller Young, author of Dutch Treat, Senior Dating and Other Stories, gives readings, talks about self-publishing and organizes book discussions about dating and managing life as a senior.  She writes, "Get ready to attend our 60th Reunion!"


1960s

1960:

Barbara Jacoby Adelstein is traveling the world with her husband.  Her oldest granddaughter Ellie recently was Bat Mitzvahed, and grandchildren Kayla, Charlie and Leila are doing great.

1961: 

Class Secretary: Elaine "Laine" Butler Ryan

Sally Cabral Crowe lives in a walkable Atlanta neighborhood and is a volunteer tour guide at the Atlanta Botanical Garden.  Her daughters live nearby, and they enjoy time together in the city and at a mountain cabin.  Sally is looking forward to Reunion in October. Thanks to Carol Schumacher Dougherty's new hip, her two passions of cross-country skiing and hiking are back in full swing. She is looking forward to her 55th Lasell Reunion and vying for another River Day championship.  "Of course," she reminds alums, "we were youngsters then, only 70!"  Elizabeth Betty Hood continues to teach and practice ballroom dancing, even competing with her instructor which "keeps me challenged and young." Carolyn Bird Murray gathered her family for a pre-birthday celebrating in Truckee, CA, where a cohort of 13 (from Maine, Texas and California, including grandchildren ranging in age from five to 25) enjoyed "eight days of clear blue skies and bright sun, surrounded by snow-patched mountain peaks."  Gwen Johnson Redding regrets missing her 55th Reunion, as she will be heading to Fort Myers, FL for the winter but urges "any '61 snowbbirds in the area to be in touch."  Elaine "Laine" Butler Ryan loves to escape January in New Hampshire's White Mountains.  This year it was the island of Vieques, Puerto Rico, with a stop in Florida en route home.  Though a knee replacement limited spring travel, she visited family in Boothbay Harbor, ME in August.  As class secretary, Elaine reminds classmates to update her or the Alumni Office with any e-mail or address changes.  "I get 'undelivered' e-mail notices," she tells Class Notes, "and there are many classmates without e-mail addresses.  We would love to hear from you!" Carole Kirschner Wilson spends much of her time volunteering with the Juion League of Boca Raton, FL and other social justice organizations.

1963:

Class Secretary: Gail Grange Johnson

Amy Straw Loveland enjoyed a spirited mini-reunion with Leslie Spencer Ames, Mary Lou Colby Daley, Susan Greenslade Brooks, Nancy Spelman Moyer, Cornelia "Corky" Bessemer Hatfield and Carol Schaller Rooney in Mystic, CT.  They hope to repeat the fete next year.  

1966:

Lois Sawyer Caulfield and her husband enjoyed celebrating her 50th Lasell Reunion and thank those "who took care of every last detail to ensure a memorable time for the Class of 1966." Christine Hatfield Donnorummo's experience of her 50th Reunion "exceeded expectations!"  Deborah Fineberg adds how "great it was seeing how much the campus has changed." And Donna Wyman O'Driscoll says she "felt like a celebrity" at the Reunion.

1967:

50th Reunion!

Class Secretary: Katherine McDonough Ryan

After 22 years as an IT specialist and administrative coordinator at Boston College, Donna Garrow Johnson retired in 2010 and is volunteering and spending time with nearby daughter Erica and two grandchildren (her son Terry lives with his family in London). Donna's husband of 46 years, Peter, also retired and now joins her at golf and traveling. She writes, "I love the way the College has morphed into today's academic world-filling an important niche!" Class Secretary Katie McDonough Ryan encourages classmates to watch their mailboxes and inboxes for information about their 50th Reunion in May.  She tells Class Notes, "It would be awesome if 50 classmates join us for our 50th!"

1969:

Mary Anne Conboy G'15 was inducted into the 2016 Massachusetts Drum Corps and Music Educators Hall of Fame.  She earned an MS in Mangement with a concentration in Elder Care Administration from Lasell.  Originally from Plaistow, NH, Susan Cottin Lane is enjoying west coast winters in Berkeley, CA and meeting up with Ronnie Blumenthal (Alameda, CA) and Yin Marsh (Berkeley) to "reminisce about our wonderful days at Lasell and catch up on all the years since."


1970s

1970: 

Class Secretary: Deborah Kimerling Schneider

Carolyn West  Carolyn West has worked in the organic produce industry and is completing her BA and master's Degrees in Sustainable Food at Smith College, where she is "reinventing" herself. She plans to return to Seattle after her 2018 graduation to begin a consulting practice.

1972: 

Class Secretary: Marsha Fall Stuart

Elizabeth Andrews Haidet is still enjoying life in "paradise, aka Fort Myers, Fl," though she misses her "Boston buds."


2000s

2003:

Class Secretary E. Ashley Seybold

Catherine Correia Courtney and her wife Kara bought a house in Stoughton, MA.  In February, Catherine gave birth to Maeve Gray Courtney.  All are healthy and doing well.  Jennifer Edwards was promoted to buyer for the Information Technology Supplies and Services division at Montefiore Health System in the Bronx, NY.  Karen Weaver Moya gave birth to her third child in March, when Carolena Francis Moya joined the family seven weeks early.  "Brothers Lucas and Levi are loving her," Karen writes.  Katherine Parker is excited about her new position as sales rep for Martignetti Companies-Connoisseurs Fine Wine Division. 

2004:

Class Secretary Mitch Phillips G'06

After freelancing for five years, Jamie Cole is now lead pattern maker for Byer California's junior dresses division. "Lasell's Fashion program propelled my career," she tells Class Notes.

2006:

Class Secretary Danielle Grethel Phillips

Derek Cunningham has been in the US Marine Corps for eight years, flying EA-6B Prowlers, stationed in North Carolina.  His wife is currently finishing University of North Carolina Law School, and the couple hopes to move to California in 2017.

2007:

Class Secretary Elizabeth Huston

Leigh Peltak Peters and husband Joseph Peters are enjoying time with their two daughters.  Liz has owned Kids By The Bay Daycare since 2012.      

2008: 

Class Secretary: Kevin Lang

Michael Welch was named Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Athletic Trainer of the Year. 

2009:

Class Secretary: Katelyn Hammond Lincoln

Judy Allen is assistant director of Campus Recreation, Club Sports, Intramurals and Fitness at Wheaton (MA) College. Kate Hodgdon moved to Santa Barbara, CA, where she is a menswear designer for Toad&Co. 


2010s

2011:

Class Secretary: Kimberly “Kim” Hooper

Emmalyn Anderson is producing the online Boston Calendar Show as well as assisting 800 clients via Wayfair, a popular online home furnishing/décor company.  Shannon Hodge is events and stewardship manager at Easter Seals Massachusetts.  Christine Lam received an MBA from Salem State University in 2016, traveled to Greece during the summer and works for TJX Companies.  Christina Purington Montenegro and husband Alex Montenegro plan to hike Zion and Grand Canyon National Parks this year.

2013: Class Secretary: Carrie Kenniston

Will Dempsey and girlfriend Brittany live in Colchester, VT, with their dog, Daisy. Will is an IT manager with the Vermont Agency of Human Services, working towards becoming a certified public manager.  Kate-Lyn Eadie is a development associate/logistics and outreach coordinator with the Alzheimer's Association.  Abbie Hawkins lives in Brighton, MA and works in software sales at an e-mail database management company in Newton, MA.  Carrie Kenniston graduated from Suffolk University Law School in May.  She and finace Sean live in East Boston and plan to wed in 2017.  Shawna Labbee bought a house in Chicopee, MA.  Jamie Marshall graduated from law school and is working with the Dorchester (MA) District Court.  Lia Oboardi lives in Jamaica Plain, MA and is an assistant buyer for Inline and Ecomm Apparel and Accessories for Converse.  Catherine Prince is athletic communications assistant at Siena College, living in the Albany, NY area. Taasi Sablan and finace Brian Lenox share their Ayer, MA home with puppy Cash.  Tawssi works for Underwriters Laboratories in Concord, MA, and Brian has taken over his family's business in Acton.  Philjay Solar finished his second year of AmeriCorps service with City Year and is attending New England School of Law in Boston.  Rebecca Stanton is marketing manager for Biocuetica, LLC and lives with friends in the Boston area.  Brianna Strunk lives in Medford with her boyfriend and is a care coordinator at Eliot CSA as well as an adjunct faculty member at Lasell teaching Introduction to Human Services Systems and SkillsEmily Machado, director of sports information and event management at Lasell, was named 2016 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Sports Information Director of the Year. 

2014: Class Secretary: Kevin Moloney

Courtney Amberg lives in NYC's Financial District and works at the Doneger Group as an associate merchandising strategist for Young Contemporary and is a member of the Junior League of New York. She's the first Junior Board to remain connected to Arlington Academy of Hope in Uganda, Africa, where she volunteered with Lasell in 2014. Sarah Bielski G'15 and J.B. Snelling '13 are engaged!  J.B. is continuing his career as an electrical technician in the US Navy, and Sarah teaches second grade in Avon, MA. Zachary Gray is excited about his new career at Draftkings and reminds others new to the job market to "remember your roots and take full advantage of any opportunity that comes your way." Patrick Leung attended the Adobe Video World Conference in San Jose, CA and connected with people throughout the motion graphics industry, ranging from movie editors to designers for ESPN. He continued traveling over the summer, "visiting old friends in new places."  Kevin Moloney is in his second year with the Student Services Office at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government, where he helps support student organizations, events and conferences and sits on programming and diversity committees working to enhance campus culture. He is an active Lasell alum, involved with alumni boards, committees and initiatives at his alma mater. For the past year, Kevin has lived with Antonio Nesbitt '13. Hayden Lucas Powell-Weltin is currently in a galaxy far,  far away, working as production support for Star Wars Corporate Characters at Walt Disney Parks and Resorts across the globe.  When he's not busy wrangling Sith Lords, he enjoys spending time with his new wife, Martha Elizabeth Powell-Weltin '14Martha Elizabeth Powell-Weltin is a technical designer for the Global Character Production Team at Walt Disney Parks and Resorts.  When she's not spending her time outfitting Judy Hopps and the Zootopia Metropolitan police force, she likes to celebrate with her friends in Halloween Town. This Halloween she will mark her first anniversary with husband Hayden Lucas Powell-Weltin.  Jenna Zamary G'16 lives in Waltham, MA  and teaches fourth grade at Conant School in Acton, where she works with Grayce Flumerfelt '82. Jenna vacationed in California this summer. In May, Chelsea Zeig, Brianna Robbins '15 and a third friend now share an apartment in Medford, MA. 

2015: Class Secretary: Shannon Pasco

Jazmine Jackson G'16 works at Lakes Region Community College in Laconia, NH, as a marketing assistant after receiving her master's degree in Project Management from Lasell. Justin Riley joined M3 Advisory Group LLC as a client service manager in 2015. Justyne Stewart is completing her master's degree in Criminal Justice at Lasell while working in public safety communications with the Maynard Police Department. "I am excited that I've been able to start my career in the criminal justice field," she told Leaves.

2016:

Class Secretary: Jordan Dalpe

Carrie Appellof is pursuing an M.Ed in Initial Licensure in Special Education: Moderate Disabilities at Lasell while interning in a fifth-grade classroom at Newton's Memorial-Spaulding Elementary School. She lives in Waltham, MA with Jessica Clark and Jenna Zamary '14, G'16. Lyndsey Charette is a social worker for the Department of Children and Families in Lynn, MA. Darius Corcoran works part-time in Lasell's IT department in Academic Support and Multimedia Services and also assists with desktop support for Lasell faculty and staff. When not on campus, Darius does video media production operation at his local church, recording masses for seniors, homebound parishioners and people overseas. Kylie Costello is an event coordinator for Village Green Events LLC in Connecticut, where she works at the Oktoberfest film festival, and coordinates wine-tastings and other events for wedding venue 19Main. Chloe Fimlaid enjoys being a product development designer at TJX in Framingham, MA. Dayna Hedman is the New England sales rep for two high-end contemporary clothing lines at Mat Reimer Co., Bailey 44 and Tolani. She lives with Jacqueline Bevacqua. Brianna Heinricher is a travel consultant at Liberty Travel in Newton Centre, MA. Kayli Hertel is beginning post-graduate history studies at the University of Reading, England and hopes to do some traveling while across the pond. Talia LeBlanc is a PR and social media associate at Brandon Agency in Myrtle Beach, SC. Rosemary Leger lives in South Boston and works in the fabric department at J.Jill in Quincy, MA. Samantha Miller is a front desk agent at the Hanover Inn Dartmouth-where her great-grandfather worked in 1921! Ryan Moore works for Enterprise. Heather Murray is doing marketing for her mother's company, Lady Slipper Affairs & Events, and is also in charge of marketing for the Simsbury (CT) Historical Society. Heather's writing and photography appears in the Bella Grace magazine summer 2016 issue. Morgan Nash is a communication specialist with the Massachusetts Department of Transportation in Cambridge. Michelle Robichaud works at DXLGroup as assistant sourcing manager in the Global Sourcing/Product Development department. Shane Wiley  is a training and support specialist at Hawkes Learning in Charleston, SC.
