Most Beneficial Part of Lasell Education: Because Lasell is such a small school, it was easy to get plenty of one on one time with the faculty. No students were every left behind in class because they never had a chance to speak to their professors, which happens often at larger universities.

Passions: Sports is definitely my passion. I played on the Lasell College Softball and Field Hockey teams, and I hope to work in the field of my passion one day.

Favorite Memories from Lasell: Playing on the Softball and Field Hockey teams. I made a lot of close friends on the team and all over campus.

Why I Chose to Support the Alumni Association: Everyone on the Lasell College campus is so friendly and welcoming. I work in Buildings and Grounds, and everyone makes it such a pleasant working environment.

Did you Receive Financial Aid or Scholarships: yes – lots! This was the deciding factor that made me choose Lasell over other schools because I received so much financial aid.

Volunteer Interests: I like to donate blood any chance I get. Lasell runs blood drives about twice a year.

Lasell gave me so many great memories. I also was able to take a step in the right direction to building strong career experiences.

Professor Honored for Contributions to Community Day Center  Friday, October 24, 2014Professor Sharyn Lowenstein, Director of Lasell’s Center for Community Based Learning, will be honored by the Community Day Center in Waltham as a recipient of the 2014 Founders’ Award for her contributions to the organization. The award will be given at the Community Day Center’s Fall Gala October 24th.
