Advancement Office Sponsors Entrepreneurship Talk

Have you ever dreamed of starting your own business? Join the Institutional Advancement Office on April 25 at 12:30 pm in de Witt Hall for a talk given by two young women who started their own successful business in New York City.

Shira Entis, a fashion designer, and Alex Bell, a lawyer, have been friends and flea market "addicts" since their college days at Brown University.

While still working their day jobs in New York City, they put their heads together in 2009 to create an environmentally friendly carry-all bag for use during flea market visits. Fleabags was born.

Today, Fleabags is doing well. The founders will share their story of how they got started and where they are headed.

Lasell Receives MassDevelopment Bond to Build New Academic Center  Thursday, November 19, 2015MassDevelopment has issued a $10 million tax-exempt bond to the College, which it will use to build and furnish a modern academic center that creatively combines it with a current structure; and a Victorian house that will serve as the president's residence. Construction on the new academic center is scheduled to begin late Spring 2016.
