Why did you choose to attend Lasell?
I chose Lasell because of the Education department. When I came to Lasell Day in 2014 the Education department did a presentation and I could tell how determined all the students were and also how passionate all the professors were about education. Right then, I knew Lasell was the right choice for me.
What activities are you involved in?
I'm involved with Lasell College Womens Volleyball, the Student Alumni Association and Tomorrows Teachers.
Any internship you have done?
I have completed a pre-practicum at Peirce Elementary School in Newton, MA.
What has been your favorite Connected Learning project/experience so far?
During my First Year Seminar Class with Professor Karin Raye, I was able to create my ‘dream non-profit organization.’ My group called our organization “Lasell’s Change For Children” and we ran a penny drive throughout campus for a Unicef foundation in Boston. Our goal was to raise awareness for children’s rights. I really enjoyed being able to spread awareness while reaching out and working in the community as a part of my class.
What is your favorite Lasell event or tradition?
As a sophomore, I was given two torches at the Torchlight Parade. I am very lucky to have had two very special seniors to look up to the past two years. The Torchlight Parade is a very special night that shows how strongly the Lasell Community can come together.
What has been your favorite class at Lasell?
My First Year Seminar class called ‘Exploring Activism’ with Professor Raye, really opened my eyes as a freshman in college. We learned about what it takes to be a leader and how we all can be activists in our everyday life. It sincerely changed the way I look at life and I will always remember the lessons and friendships I made in that class.
Where is your favorite place to hang out on campus?
When the weather is nice, my friends and I like to play Frisbee on the turf field and also sit and relax in the sun.
What do you like to do off campus or in Boston?
I enjoy going into the North End for dinner and pastries.
