Hometown: Dennis, MA

Major: Communication with a concentration in Public Relations

Minor: Event Management

Why did you choose your major at Lasell?
I knew Lasell was the place for me because of the hands on, connected learning style they have in the classrooms. You aren't just being told information, but actually applying this information to the real world.

What was it that brought you to Lasell?
Being able to choose Public Relations as my concentration was very important because at other schools, the communication major can be much broader. Here I get to focus on PR.

What activities are you involved in or have been involved in (clubs, activities, athletics, etc.)?
Here at Lasell I have a few leadership positions such as being a peer mentor, resident assistant and I am the Vice President of Communication of the Student Alumni Association. This past summer I also served as an Orientation Leader. Other clubs I'm in are the Public Relations Alliance and Careers in Higher Education.

Favorite class you have taken at Lasell and why?
My favorite class that I have taken is COM101: Understanding Mass Media with Professor Janbek. I got to learn about every aspect of the Communication field along with working in groups multiple times throughout the year.

What do you like to do off campus or in Boston?
My friends and I are always going into Boston for Target runs. We have a lot of fun doing so and often will get dinner while we are in the city.

Do you have an interesting story or great memory from Lasell that you would be willing to share?
My favorite memory so far has been being an Orientation Leader this summer. Living on campus for the whole month of June was a great experience and I grew very close with the other Orientation Leaders
