Area Council, Fashion Connection Club, Relay for Life, 8 week long Leadership Course, Lasell Day, Fashion Show

What was it that brought you to Lasell?
The fashion program definitely brought me to Lasell. I heard it was a very good program and I am so happy I chose it. Having the option to explore many options in fashion at Lasell is what is so great. I also liked the small community and the sense of family that it has brought.

What is your favorite spot on campus and why?
I really liked the Arnow Campus Center. It’s great for picking up a sandwich if you are in a rush and of course the bookstore is located there. It is a nice spot to sit while I wait before class starts. I also like the library and dining hall. I think everything is kept up really nice which makes going anywhere enjoyable.

Favorite class you have taken at Lasell and why?
Pattern Generation. I really liked my teachers both semesters. They were passionate about what they were doing so it made learning how to make patterns so much more fun. The students in class with me were all so nice and everyone wanted to do a good job. This was something I had never done before so to learn something completely new was great.

What do you like to do off campus or in Boston?
In the beginning of last year I was attending a lot of fashion related events in Copley Square and the Intercontinental Hotel. To be immersed in the industry right at the start of school was so much fun. Toward second semester I was mainly going into the city to meet with friends to go out for dinner or shopping. We also visited some museums.

Give an interesting story or great memory from Lasell that you would be willing to share with your peers or a tour.
I would say one of the great memories I had from Lasell was the fashion show that took place in May. Not only was I able to produce a multitude of looks for the show but I also got to model as well. It was a great experience to know what it feels like wearing someone else’s piece they worked so hard making and then to feel the joy of putting your own work out on the runway. It was definitely a great show and I’m so happy I was a part of it.
