What was it that brought you to Lasell?
The small class sizes and the location of the quaint campus.
What is your favorite spot on campus and why?
My favorite spot on campus would be the computer labs under the library. I spend most of my class time there, as well as a lot of time after class. I love using the adobe programs and playing around with the tablet, drawing on the computer.
Favorite class you have taken at Lasell and why?
My favorite class that I have taken was my Media Ethics class. I chose it as my favorite because I signed up for the class expecting to dislike it. However, my teacher was wonderful and the class turned out to be challenging and rewarding.
What do you like to do off campus or in Boston?
For the past 2 years I have gone to the annual Life is Good concert in Boston, which is a 2-day music festival that is always a blast to go to. Another favorite spot in Boston is the Aquarium, and I always make sure to stop at Mike’s Pastry after the trip!
Give us an interesting story or great memory from Lasell that you would be willing to share with your peers or a tour.
My favorite Lasell experience has been participating in the Shoulder-to-Shoulder trip to the Amazon Rain Forest. I applied and got accepted into the ecotourism class where we learned about how tourism effects the economy and how countries are trying to provide tourism in an eco-friendly way. We concluded our class by taking a week-long trip to the Rio Negro, which is a river in the Amazon Rain Forest. We spent our week going night-spotting for sloths and kamen, visiting and petting the pink dolphins, hiking through the jungle, canoeing through the flooded forests, and speaking with Brazilian students about ecotourism. It was such an amazing experience and a trip that I will never forget.
