Major:
Sport Management

Current Job:
Research Manager and Secondary Researcher
Performance Research
Newport, Rhode Island

EXPERIENCES AT LASELL:
In high school I was a three-sport athlete and several colleges were interested in recruiting me to play football. Although Lasell has varsity sports, I decided not to play in college. That was a big move for me. Fortunately, the sport management program at Lasell allowed me to stay involved with athletics and get a strong business education. It was the perfect preparation for a career I love.

Performance Research is a young company that provides data and market analysis to help clients, like ESPN, make better decisions about event sponsorship and marketing budgets. When I started here as an intern, I learned how to do on-site research by traveling to the X Games in Los Angeles and other national events. Now I manage the company’s 24-person telephone research center and conduct secondary research, which involves analyzing costs and budgets.

Lasell gave me the real-world foundation in business and marketing that enables me to excel professionally. Lasell also taught me to multitask successfully, to manage multiple priorities at the same time. It’s a skill many people overlook, but one that has helped me tremendously in my current job.
