Opening Day 2006

September 7th marked Lasell College’s one hundred and fifty-fifth opening day, as new students from 19 states and 5 countries were greeted by staff, faculty, and students. Students arrived by trains, taxis, cars and trucks, many with multiple support vehicles, family and friends to assist with move-in.
The new students join with returning students to push the College's Undergraduate enrollment over 1200. Asked why they chose Lasell, many responded with similar answers to preceding classes; great majors, proximity to Boston and close-knit community.
Cassandra from Hopedale, MA is majoring in Psychology and loved Lasell because of its size and location.

Phillip, from San Diego, CA wanted to try somtehing new and decided Lasell would be a great fit on the East Coast. He will be majoring in Finance.
Stephanie is majoring in Athletic Training and chose Lasell for its reputation and excellence in Athletic Training. She is from Stoughton, MA and is excited about Lasell's proximty to Boston and its small, close knit community.
Returning resident students moved back to campus over the Sept 9th weekend in anticipation of classes starting Monday, September 11th.
