Lasell Fashion Students’ Work Displayed at Boston’s City Hall

Fashion Week occurs every October in Boston and, for the second year in a row, Lasell fashion students have their garments on display at City Hall. Additionally, one of Lasell's graphic design students has her work displayed at the annual Boston showcase.

“We picked the pieces based on their design, construction and presentation,” explains Lasell fashion professor Lynn Blake of the garments. "This year we selected three garments that represent the exceptional work that the College’s students have produced.”

Melissa Vizvarie ’07, Ginnie Chow ’06, and Jennifer Knapp ’05 are the students whose designs are on display. Lasell will also be represented in the Week’s Illustration Contest and in the fashion show that will be held in City Hall Promenade on October 22.

Four illustrations created by Lasell Graphic Design student Kati Goodenow ’06 (above) were selected by the Lasell Fashion Department to hang in the Scollay Square Gallery in City Hall. The theme of the contest was pink, in celebration of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Her work can be viewed there until November 30.
