Communication

The Communication Department offers a major in Communication with six areas of concentration:

Consistent with the college's Connected Learning philosophy, courses in the Communication Department are designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills needed to succeed in their chosen concentrations. Students gain valuable professional experience and significant contacts through internships and professional mentoring within the communication and graphic design industries. Upon graduation, they are well-prepared to pursue careers in the growing and exciting fields of communication and graphic design, from journalism, public relations and advertising to television, radio production and multi-media interactive web design. Graduates receive a Bachelor of Arts degree from the Communication Department.

Nancy Waldron, Ph.D.Chair of Marketing & Management; Associate Professor of MarketingDr. Waldron's principal scholarly interests lie in the business marketing arena, primarily in the field of entrepreneurship.
