Study Abroad

What was one of your most meaningful experiences?
One of the best experiences I had abroad was how independent I was, without hesitation, when normally at home I always have someone around for me. I met people from all over the world that come from a completely different lifestyle than I do, which was absolutely incredible. I also planned an 8 day road trip around the South Island of New Zealand, which was life changing.

Why should Lasell students study abroad?
I believe everyone should study abroad, it really shows you a completely different way of life and a way of thinking. The world is so much bigger than you'll ever believe, but you need to experience it in order to believe it. This experience is absolutely amazing.

What is your number one piece of advice for students studying abroad?
JUST DO IT!!!

What is a typical day in the life when studying abroad?
While I was abroad, Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays I had class. I would wake up, get breakfast at the cafe, and start my day. I sometimes had time to hangout by the pool or the court yards in between classes, which was always relaxing. At nights if I needed to do work or study I would normally do that in the library or MLC (24 hour study building) which allowed me to have my room as my place of relaxing and unwinding. Thursdays-Sundays I always had an adventure planned, whether it be traveling to Sydney or Brisbane, or just going surfing at the beaches, there was always something to do.
