Study Abroad

What was one of your most meaningful experiences?
One of my most meaningful experiences was running different streets of Florence. I found a special place where locals ride bikes, walk, sit and enjoy the views of the river. There was a dog park and a small outdoor eatery. Watching the locals as I passed was so fun and seeing others running, enjoying the weather and views was so special. The time spent alone, reflecting on the beauty I was surrounded by was priceless.

Why should Lasell students study abroad?
No matter where you go out of the country or for how long you will get cultural perspectives that you could not gain any other way. Studying abroad builds confidence and experiences that you would have never had access to otherwise.

What is your number one piece of advice for students studying abroad?
Embrace the unknown! Whether it is going somewhere new or taking time to enjoy a meal by yourself, do something out of your comfort zone! Talk to the locals!

What is a typical day in the life when studying abroad?
Getting lost, cooking, walking to classes, doing homework, running and sometimes a trip for a drink to a favorite location with my roommates! My roommates and I also traveled together pretty regularly.
