Uganda

Uganda Shoulder to Shoulder is an international service-learning experience that incorporates volunteer work in a remote village in the Baduda district of Uganda.  As one of the countries poorest districts, access to education is school, public health, and social justice. A spring trip to Uganda provides opportunities for students to work side by side with community members, gain understanding through cultural exchange, and participate in reflection and academic exercises examining poverty and development. Student participants also design a related academic component in conjunction with one of their spring courses.
