Uganda

Uganda Shoulder to Shoulder is an international service-learning experience that incorporates volunteer work in a remote village in the Baduda district of Uganda.  As one ofn the countries poorest districts, access to education is schooll, public health, and social justice. A spring trip to Uganda provides opportunities for students to work side by side with community members, gain understanding through cultural exchange, and participate in reflection and academic exercises examining poverty and development. Student participants also design a related academic component in conjunction with one of their spring courses.

Lasell College Wins NEA Grant to Create Online Fashion Design Catalog  Thursday, May 2, 2013Lasell College President Michael B. Alexander announced today that the College is the recipient of a $20,000 2013 National Endowment for the Arts matching grant to assist in the creation of an online fashion design catalog. The Lasell grant proposal was one of 50 grants funded by the NEA in its Art Works Design category.
