Hello and welcome to our Antigua blog!  From January 8th to the 15th a group of twelve Lasell students and two Lasell Professors will be travelling to Antigua for a service-learning project.  Over the course of the fall semester we learned all about Antiguan culture, schools, and children.  We have worked very hard to gather all the information we can about Antigua, especially their schools.  In Antigua we will be in two different schools, T.N. Kirnon Primary School and Green Bay.  Pairs of students have been assigned to T.N. Kirnon and will be teaching and learning in a kindergarten, first, third, and fourth grade classroom.  There will be one student in a fifth grade class and one student working with the reading specialist.  Two students have been paired together to work at Green Bay.  During our week in Antigua, we will be in these classrooms teaching lessons, working with students, and collaborating with the teachers.  We are bringing materials the teachers have requested along with hundreds of books we have gathered throughout the semester.  We are all very excited for this experience and can't wait to share it with everyone!
