Braun Writing Awards

The Ruth Paetz Braun Undergraduate Connected Learning Awards Program at Lasell College is made possible through the generous support of Ruth Paetz Braun, class of 1954, in honor of her 50th reunion from Lasell College. The purpose of this program is to support annual writing and/or oral presentation awards for undergraduate students in conjunction with the College's annual Connected Learning Symposiumin April of each year.

Three $100 prizes were awarded for student writing in the following categories:

A paper written for an assignment in a 100 level course
A paper written for an assignment in a 200 or 300 level course
A paper written for an assignment in a 400 level course


The winners are announced in a special session of the Lasell College Spring Connected Learning Symposium where they read short passages and describe the experience of writing their papers.

The first Braun writing awards were made for the 2004/2005 academic year in Spring 2005. The winners also receive a certificate of achievement.

Lasell College Wins NEA Grant to Create Online Fashion Design Catalog  Thursday, May 2, 2013Lasell College President Michael B. Alexander announced today that the College is the recipient of a $20,000 2013 National Endowment for the Arts matching grant to assist in the creation of an online fashion design catalog. The Lasell grant proposal was one of 50 grants funded by the NEA in its Art Works Design category.
