Department of Youth Services: DSS provides support services to families where children are at risk for abuse or neglect or where abuse or neglect has been documented. Massachusetts Office of the Attorney General-Criminal Bureau: Interns work under the supervision of investigators who investigate and assist in the prosecution of white collar criminal cases. – Leah Shoemaker (05)

Committee for Public Counsel Services: CPCS provides social work assistance and other case related expert services to low income/indigent persons in the Commonwealth. – Jennifer Watts (06)

Massachusetts State Police Office of the Fire Marshal: The intern is involved in fire investigation, including interviewing, evidence collection, photography, and diagramming.  There is also a research component, which may include grant writing.  There is a training component, in which the intern serves as a teaching assistant. REACH beyond Domestic Violence: Residential domestic violence program includes survivor-centered advocacy in shelter-based program working with up to 3-4 families.  Intern also works with a 24-hour hotline that provides crisis intervention, safety planning, and referrals for services. - Dayna Eason (07)

Local Police Departments Located throughout Billerica, Everett, Waltham, Watertown, Natick, Southboro, Wayland, and Worcester. Lasell has had interns at many local police departments who assist in various capacities with many aspects of police work.

Middlesex County Superior Court Probation Department: Pre-Trial Dept. and Post-Trial Dept. Intern receives daily courtroom experience learning arraignment thru conviction, secondly having one-one supervised contact with offender, monitoring all conditions imposed by the court and the goal is to eliminate criminal behavior.-Meghan Ressel (08); Elizabeth Huston (07)

West Cambridge Youth Center: Lasell interns have had many responsbilities at the youth center. Such as a homework tutor, facilitator of boys discussion group, assistant to cooking class, staff for field trips, coaching during sports leagues and staff assistant to other caseworkers. – Sean Proctor (07)
