Deeper Thought, Broader Horizons
Hon 101 is really the "deepest" course I have, discussion and thought-wise. Lots of the papers are based on questioning the information we've been given and learning how to think outside the box. It's been tough, but I really feel like I can end this semester knowing I have challenged myself.
By studying Darfur I think I learned so much about the media and how American's are truly affected by it. Coming to college, I wanted to become more informed about what is happening in this world, and this topic has really broadened my horizons.
The Darfur course was worthwhile because it is really spreading the word of an intense crisis that is in need of attention. By teaching a course such as this, we are helping to inform others of what needs to be done to stop this from happening, and prevent it from happening again.
