Bill Nowlan's academic interests include labor relations in sports, the psychological impact of athletic injuries, and pedagogical applications within athletic training. He has taught a wide variety of coursework within allied health, specifically athletic training and sports conditioning, along with sociological and ethical applications within sport and sport management. He has spoken at the National Athletic Trainers' Association national conference as well as various other regional and state conferences. He has also published articles relating to Emergency Preparedness for Athletic Therapists and considerations for employment within the field of sports medicine. Bill Nowlan is a nationally certified and state licensed athletic trainer, along with being a nationally certified strength and conditioning specialist. He is currently the Treasurer for the Athletic Trainers' of Massachusetts, and a member of the North American Society for Sport Management.
