Felice Gordis, Associate Professor of Psychology

Felice Gordis' scholarly interests include children's cognitive development and their awareness of emotional states, particularly the experiencing of conflicting positive and negative emotions. She is also interested in the development of close relationships, particularly in older adults. She has presented at conferences of the American Psychological Association and the Society for Research in Child Development.

Prior to her position at Lasell, Felice Gordis taught for many years in the psychology department at California State University, Fullerton, and before that at California State University at Long Beach. She also taught at SUNY Purchase.

What Felice Gordis enjoys most about teaching is seeing students become empowered by learning.
