Sarah Barnes' Academic and Professional interests lie within the area of Career Development with a primary concentration in the Fashion and Retail Industry.

She has hosted and produced several television shows for the Wellesley Cable Network, including "Working in the Global Environment," "Leadership For Career Success," "Coping with Layoff and Unemployment," and "Career Growth in the Financial Market." She is also the author of two monographs, "Human Resource Professionals, a Call to Industry" and "Finding Internship Opportunities on the Internet," both of which were written for the New England Association of Cooperative Education and Field Experience.

She has been named in Biltmore's Who's Who of Executives and Professionals 2007 and Who's Who Among America's Teachers 2004-2007.

Prior to her position at Lasell College, Sarah Barnes worked in the retail industry as a Merchandise Specialist and Buyer and held faculty positions at local colleges. She is also the founder and CEO of two working businesses, Career Solutions, a career consulting practice and SarahDipiti, a classic design jewelry business specializing in custom crafted, handmade jewelry designs.
