As director of the Holway Child Study Center (Rockwell), Kathi Rudnicki is responsible for the state licensing and national accreditation of the Center, the annual enrollment of 3, 4, and 5-year-old children into the program, the hiring of qualified teachers, providing opportunities for professional development, and maintaining a safe, nurturing environment for young children. The Rockwell curriculum is based upon Howard Gardner's theory of multiple intelligences, and it promotes the emotional, social, cognitive, and physical development of each child.
Prior to becoming director at Rockwell, Kathi Rudnicki taught at Beginnings in Weston, and she served as Assistant Director/kindergarten teacher at a private full day program in Stoughton.
Kathi Rudnicki is a member of the Lasell Colege Education Department, teaching early childhood education courses and advising and supervising education students. She writes: "For many years I have had the pleasure of working with young children at the Barn and at Rockwell. Lasell has also given me the opportunity to share the wonders and joys of teaching small children with future teachers, both in the classroom and as they learn through hands-on experiences at each of the centers. Most recently, I have had the privilege of learning from retired teachers, school directors, and other lovers of children from Lasell Village, as they voluntarily share their knowledge and expertise in the classrooms with our teachers and children."
