What is an ePortfolio? |
At Lasell College, an
ePortfolio is a website created by a student to showcase the student's
academic and co-curricular achievements. Students are taught how to make
frames-based ePortfolios websites, and are given a blank template site to use
if they wish. From that start, they are encouraged to personalize the look
and feel of their ePortfolios. |
Why does Lasell have
ePortfolios? |
With our philosophy
of connected learning, students are encouraged to view education as a
coherent and developing experience instead of a fragmented one reducible to
individual courses. Connected learning also means that students are
productive versus consumptive learners – where they are engaged actively in
processes of investigation, discovery, and analysis. The Lasell ePortfolio is
designed within the context of this educational philosophy. |

NOTE: Due to privacy
concerns, we are unable to allow browsing of entire ePortfolios. But we have
gathered representative screen shots from selected ePortfolios and matched
them with quotations from the students who created the ePortfolios. |
